TLC not only derives revenue from these small stores that are located on each property, the stores also offer employment and job training to residents who have few or no job skills. The inconvenience Store is so-named because in the early days it had very little merchandise to offer.
Today it has a wider range of merchandise including grooming basics, cereals, medallions, and even some clothing items such as socks and handerkerchiefs.
Not only are the stores a convenience to the residents, the main store on Macdonald Street in Mesa is open the public.
